The East Ohio Building, originally known as the Tishman Building, was constructed in 1959. The 21 story building at its time of construction was the second tallest building constructed in Cleveland post-depression, quickly becoming an element of historical significance for the city. The building was originally designed by Emery Roth and Sons of New York, a firm widely known for design of utilitarian office buildings. Completed in 2014, the building was transformed through innovative adaptive re-use planning to include 223 luxury apartment dwelling units. The project was awarded Federal & State Historic Tax Credits as well as Silver LEED Certification. The building features many on-site amenity features for residents including a fitness room, business center, meeting rooms, party room, and it’s within walking distance to Playhouse Square, fine dining and shopping centers. The residential units feature expansive views of Downtown Cleveland and are designed to embody the upscale, modern-style living environment found in downtown urban lifestyles.
