The Reserve on South Martin is a new departure for Cincinnati Metropolitan Housing Authority, considering the development of smaller project types in suburban communities. CMHA chose to redevelop an existing site are in Mt. Healthy Ohio which was underutilized, having originally been developed as twin-single housing units. The redevelopment plan in Mt. Healthy included development of greater densities, and when coupled withM the demand for elderly housing in the community, CMHA seized the opportunity to develop 60 dwelling units within a 3-story structure. And CMHA followed a more conservative paradigm guiding the development of a product which was more akin to market rate housing than subsidized product. The quality of design, planning, appearance and site uses, all signal forward thinking, through the provision of interior spaces which integrate with external open site uses. And interior spaces consider special spaces and accommodations for an expanding aging in place community. And all masonry building, The Reserve on South Martin is detailed and constructed with long-term useful life and low maintenance considerations.
