Role Description
The Senior Project Leader will work closely with Project Managers, firm leadership, consultants, and project teams to support the successful delivery of architectural projects from initial planning and design through construction.
This position will provide leadership and technical guidance to project teams while coordinating design, documentation, consultants, schedules, and project requirements. The Senior Project Leader will play an important role in maintaining project quality, supporting client relationships, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with firm standards.
The ideal candidate is an experienced architectural professional with strong technical, organizational, and leadership skills who is comfortable managing multiple priorities and contributing throughout all phases of a project.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Support Project Managers in delivering projects on schedule and within established budgets.
- Coordinate project teams, consultants, assignments, and day-to-day project activities.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Monitor the quality, coordination, and productivity of work completed by assigned team members.
- Help identify and resolve project issues while maintaining established design and quality expectations.
Design & Documentation
- Participate in programming, design development, presentations, renderings, and other design-related activities.
- Conduct code research and coordinate project requirements with engineering and specialty consultants.
- Prepare, coordinate, and oversee construction documents in accordance with firm standards.
- Review project drawings and consultant documents for accuracy, coordination, consistency, and completeness.
- Apply applicable zoning requirements, building codes, accessibility standards, project specifications, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain a strong understanding of project scope and technical requirements throughout the design and documentation process.
Team Leadership & Development
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to Project Leaders, Project Coordinators, Intern Architects, and other junior team members.
- Assist staff in understanding project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and quality expectations.
- Support the professional development of team members through ongoing guidance, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration within project teams.
Construction Administration
- Assist with bidding activities, addenda, RFIs, submittals, change documentation, and other construction administration responsibilities.
- Participate in field observations, contractor coordination, project meetings, and punch list reviews.
- Work with clients, consultants, and contractors to address issues that arise during construction.
- Support clients throughout the construction process to help ensure successful project delivery and alignment with the design intent.
Project Planning & Communication
- Assist with project scheduling, staffing coordination, workload planning, and budget tracking.
- Coordinate communication among project team members, consultants, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project records, meeting notes, correspondence, and other required documentation.
- Accurately track and report project hours.
- Communicate project progress, potential challenges, and required decisions to Project Managers and firm leadership.
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading multifamily, residential, commercial, mixed-use, or similar architectural projects.
- Advanced knowledge of Revit and Building Information Modeling (BIM) standards and workflows.
- Strong background in construction documentation and multidisciplinary consultant coordination.
- Experience supporting projects through bidding and construction administration.
- Experience coordinating project teams and managing multiple concurrent project responsibilities.

Berardi + Partners’ corporate office is located in Columbus, Ohio, with a satellite office in Cleveland, Ohio.
This is a full-time position with an in-office/hybrid work model. Flexibility is expected based on project deadlines, client needs, construction activities, and other project requirements.
Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week.
Travel: Regional and occasional national travel may be required. Business-related travel is covered in accordance with the firm’s standard travel policy.

Salary and accrued paid time off will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.

Role Description
The Marketing & Business Development Coordinator will work closely with the firm’s principals, leadership team, and project teams to support and execute the firm’s marketing and business development strategies.
This position plays an important role in maintaining the Berardi + Partners brand, coordinating marketing initiatives, preparing proposals and RFP/RFQ submissions, and developing high-quality, firm-branded materials for new project opportunities.
The role will also support efforts to strengthen existing client and industry relationships while identifying and developing new strategic opportunities within the firm’s priority markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the preparation, production, and submission of proposals, qualifications packages, RFPs, RFQs, and other business development materials.
- Work with principals and project teams to gather project information, resumes, qualifications, graphics, and other content required for submissions.
- Maintain and uphold firmwide brand standards across marketing, proposal, presentation, and business development materials.
- Write, edit, proofread, and format marketing and proposal content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and professionalism.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives, campaigns, presentations, award submissions, and other promotional efforts.
- Maintain and organize marketing resources, including project descriptions, staff resumes, photography, qualifications, and other reusable marketing content.
- Support business development activities focused on strengthening existing client relationships and pursuing new opportunities.
- Assist with industry events, conferences, networking opportunities, sponsorships, and client-focused initiatives.
- Collaborate with firm leadership to identify and support strategic opportunities in priority markets and sectors.
- Assist project teams with the development of firm-branded presentations, interview materials, and other pursuit-related documents.

Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience in marketing coordination, proposal coordination, business development support, or a related professional services role.
- Experience within the architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry is preferred.
- Equivalent professional services marketing or proposal experience will also be considered.
- Strong copywriting, editing, proofreading, and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with firm leadership, technical staff, consultants, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong proficiency with standard office and presentation software; experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design and publishing tools is preferred.
