Berardi + Partners was established in 1979 as Berardi/Plaisted Architects in German Village, a historic district of Columbus, Ohio. Founding Partner George Berardi endeavored to create a firm that serves and satisfies each of our client’s needs through effective design and planning. Our firm culture is grounded in family values and respect, both with our associates and our clients. For this reason, we view our firm as an extension of our family and communities we serve.
For nearly 40 years, we have maintained steady and consistent growth which started with the hiring of Chris Bruzzese in 1981 as the first associate, and Partner since 1992. With focus on service to our clients and community, George and Chris have grown the firm to over 50 associates contributing to over 900 projects.
We care about people and serving others through our expertise. We care about what’s next through studying current and future trends. Our values, culture and time are all centered around relationships with people. That is truly what makes us unique – at the center of what we do, is our passion for others.
For us, it’s more than a statement, it’s a vision that is implemented in our daily lives and interactions with those we seek to empower. Our partnerships are long-lasting because we strive to bring to life our client’s values through the realization of their goals and visions.
FAMILY-ORIENTED. SERVICE. NON-CORPORATE. PARTNERSHIPS THAT FORM RELATIONSHIPS.

1. What is your favorite neighborhood in Columbus?
"I’m torn between Easton Area and Downtown Dublin. Easton has my favorite restaurant, Cooper’s Hawk, which I spend a lot of time there and have made great friends. Dublin has a lot of great restaurants and a small town in the city that you can’t get many places."
2. What are you happiest doing when you’re not working?
"My schedule is usually full, so I don’t have a lot of downtime, I like it that way. I try to spend as much time as I can with my friends and family. I think relationships are the most valuable thing in the world and they should not be taken for granted. I am looking forward to summertime, I am at my happiest when it is 85+ and I can enjoy the sun."
3. How would your co-workers describe your personality using two words?
"Outgoing and Enthusiastic"
4. What is your favorite movie quote?
"Growing up my favorite movie as a kid was The Lion King. There are so many great quotes “Hakuna Matata”. “As you go through life, you will see that there is so much that we don’t understand. And the only thing we know is things don’t always go the way we plan.” – Simba"
5. What is your favorite memory from your college days?
"Living with my best friend. We met when we were in eighth grade while playing club volleyball in Toledo. When we were both accepted to OSU there was no question we would live with each other. We were inseparable. The worst weekends were when the other would go home!"
6. What TV character do you most identify with?
"Meredith Grey (Grey’s Anatomy) My favorite show by miles, I have seen every episode multiple times and the first 10 seasons at least 12 times."
7. What song best describes you?
"“Joy in the Morning” Tauren Wells and Elevation Worship"
8. If you ruled the world, what would you change on day 1?
"I would look into a complete overhaul of the foster care and adoption system. It is extremely broken. There are a lot of children that need loving homes and there must be a better way to accomplish that than what we are currently doing. I have a few friends that are in the process of adopting, the hoops that must jump through are intense and extreme. Along with that I would want to implement a community mandatory event. People need people and sometimes a forced interaction creates a space for needed relationships to form. I believe we are stronger together than all trying to handle our battles alone."
