Our story explains what we do, but our commitment to service, authentic relationships, meaningful partnerships, and sustainability defines who we are.
A HISTORY THAT SHAPES OUR PRESENT AND FUTURE
Berardi + Partners was established in 1979 as Berardi/Plaisted Architects in German Village, a historic district of Columbus, Ohio. Founding Partner George Berardi endeavored to create a firm that serves and satisfies each of our client’s needs through effective design and planning. Our firm culture is grounded in family values and respect, both with our associates and our clients. For this reason, we view our firm as an extension of our family and communities we serve.
For nearly 40 years, we have maintained steady and consistent growth which started with the hiring of Chris Bruzzese in 1981 as the first associate, and Partner since 1992. With focus on service to our clients and community, George and Chris have grown the firm to over 50 associates contributing to over 900 projects.
WHAT DO WE CARE ABOUT?
At our firm, we are driven by a deep passion for the communities we serve, and we seek out clients who share this commitment to making positive impacts. We prioritize personal, meaningful connections over mere transactions, valuing the relationships we build with our clients and partners. These partnerships, nurtured over the years, are the foundation of our success and pride. Additionally, we are dedicated to designing innovative spaces that are not only functional but also sustainably focused, ensuring that our work contributes to a better future for the communities we care about.
SERVICE. NON-CORPORATE. PARTNERSHIPS THAT FORM RELATIONSHIPS. SUSTAINABILITY.
Morgan Dettwiller
Project Leader
As a Project Leader, Morgan guides each phase of a project with care and precision— starting from schematic design and continuing into technical applications focused on code analysis and compilation of architectural drawings – working through planning, detailing, and coordination of engineering disciplines. Her skill sets have proved to be critical in working on historic projects in Asheville, NC, where she has helped throughout the construction process – working closely with the client and general contractor as we complete the projects. Morgan’s steady leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to quality make her an essential part of our team. We’re proud to highlight her this month and celebrate the work she’s doing to bring Battery Park and Vanderbilt Apartments back to life.
