The first phase of The Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority’s revitalization of the Collingwood corridor in Toledo, Ohio, is Collingwood Green Senior Housing. The Berardi+ design is a 65 dwelling unit, four-story structure consisting of one and two-bedroom living units. The building is 68,000 square feet and contains management and socialization spaces, developed to promote the Aging in Place concept, in addition to the apartments, which range in size from 650 square feet to 870 square feet.

This sustainable design, meeting the guide and requirements of Enterprise Green Communities 2008, is the first of three phases intended to bring 272 dwelling units, retail and community spaces to a much needed urban area of Toledo which previously housed the Albertus Brown and Brand Whitlock Development.
