EDGE

A 100 unit housing facility located in The Historic Franklinton area, immediately west of Downtown Columbus, Ohio is adjacent to the street where Franklinton was founded (prior to Columbus) in the late 18th century. The building design recalls the early shapes of residential buildings that were found on this site or nearby, and can still be found in historic nearby buildings. The building is articulated in order to provide the residential touch that a building of this use demands. It is sited through careful planning of personal and defensible open site spaces as well as our building entrance points to separate the busy commercial corridor, from the uses of the residents.

The interior of the building is a state of the art facility, with 24 hour security, and personal and community amenities to enable the residents to have the social and interpersonal connectivity that facilitate healthy living. The facility houses several locations for socializing, a library lounge for casual meeting and a community room for planned events from shared meals to group training classes. We have also located a community outreach center onsite that facilitates the connections of the residents to the community beyond.
