SITUATED ON THE OUTSKIRTS

of the Market District, the project consisted of four contemporary urban infill townhomes located at the corner of Washington and Rich Streets. An element of the design was integrating the contemporary design aesthetic into an existing urban fabric, which consists of structures dating back to the 1920’s.

The design incorporated a color palette and building massing, where each townhome steps back to reduce the overall visual impact, which allows the contemporary building to blend in with the existing area. Traditional cornice details found in the area were simplified and constructed of contemporary material such as stainless steel and aluminum in an effort to add character to the building while remaining consistent with features of the neighborhood.

The three-story luxury townhomes were designed in an effort to provide traditional home living in an urban environment, including easily accessible pedestrian paths, access to major thoroughfares, and views of the downtown skyline.
